2018 Md. Media State Poll (Week 2)

Score one for the private schools.

DeMatha and Calvert Hall won games over their state-ranked public school rivals last week, further proving the muscle of these programs.

DeMatha won a closer-than-expected game over Franklin. Calvert Hall, meanwhile, “upset” former No. 4 Wise, which was riding a 43-game win streak. DeMatha stays at No. 3 in this week’s Top 25 while Calvert Hall moves up to No. 8.

Private schools now occupy six of the top eight spots.
