2018 Md. Media State Poll (Week 3)
To put the high school season in terms of a horse race, we’re past the first corner, and some slight jockeying is taking place.
St. Frances remains furlongs ahead.
DeMatha, now No. 2, and Good Counsel flipped spots following Good Counsel’s out-of-state loss last week — regardless, those teams will settle the issue on the field soon enough.
Calvert Hall, now No. 7, and Bullis flipped spots as Calvert Hall posted a big win while Bullis was idle. This week, it’s Bullis’ chance to earn back the spot as it plays highly ranked Quince Orchard.
In Frederick County, Linganore and Oakdale swapped spots, with Linganore moving up to No. 12 following a compelling win over former Top 25-ranked Westminster. Again, these teams will settle the issue on the field later this season.
The only newcomer this week is Avalon School, making its Top 25 debut.
See who else made the media Top 25 this week …
