Edgewood has been rolling opponents, and the state media finally took notice.

Edgewood is the lone newcomer to this week's Maryland Media Top 25 following a 50-6 win over Fallston, running the team's record to 8-0. Edgewood becomes the first Upper Chesapeake Bay Athletic Conference team to crack the Top 25 since Elkton finished No. 22 in the 2019 season.

Overall, the next-to-last regular-season rankings for 2025 saw minimal movement. St. Frances Academy remains No. 1, followed by DeMatha, Archbishop Spalding, and Quince Orchard. Flowers climbed to No. 5, but that rise may be short-lived. Early this week, the MPSSAA updated Flowers' record to include four forfeit losses. The Jaguars are now 8–0 on the field but officially 4–4. Because the forfeits were recognized after voting began, Flowers' adjusted record will not be reflected until next week’s rankings.

Meanwhile, reports surfaced Tuesday that North Point may also face game forfeitures. As with Flowers, any changes involving North Point will not be reflected until the next rankings update.
