Old Mill, St. Charles make 2025 debut in the Maryland Media State Poll

It took a big win for Old Mill and a steady run of results for St. Charles as these two programs crack the Top 25 for the first time this season.


Old Mill knocked off former No. 15 Arundel, 42-9, to vault to No. 18 this week. St. Charles, off to its best start since a 6-0 debut in 2018, checks in at No. 24 this week.


Elsewhere, there were a few shakeups, but little changed near the top. No. 1 St. Frances Academy and No. 2 DeMatha did not play, and thus their ranking went unchanged. Spalding remains No. 3, followed by Quince Orchard and McDonogh, which swapped places with No. 6 Good Counsel.


While the ranked schools were largely unchanged this week, it was interesting to see the growth in the number of schools also receiving votes.
