A rash of private school surprises leads to a slight re-ordering of this week's Top 25.
Still, St. Frances Academy holds a slim lead over DeMatha for No. 1, followed by Archbishop Spalding at No. 3. Quince Orchard, the defending 4A state champs, is up to No. 4, switching places with Good Counsel, which rounds out the Top 5.
Flowers' 17-6 win over rival Wise helped this P.G. County power move up to No. 7, the second-highest-ranked public school in the Top 25.
Meanwhile, Mount St. Joseph and St. Mary's of Annapolis were upset this past week, pointing to the depth of the MIAA. And Bishop McNamara was stunned again by St. Mary's Ryken in a meeting of non-league WCAC members.
No. 21 Concordia Prep, No. 23 Oakland Mills, and No. 25 Calvert are the newcomers to this week's Top 25.
