2016 Md. Media State Poll (Week 2)
North Point checks in at No. 25 this week, the only newcomer to this week’s state poll.
North Point’s entry was made possible by a Gilman loss, which marks the first time since Week 9 of 2009 — a span of 82 consecutive ranking weeks — that Gilman has not been ranked among the state’s Top 25.
DeMatha remains No. 1, followed by Good Counsel and McDonogh. This weekend, DeMatha travels to McDonogh in a contest that very well could end up settling the state’s No. 1 ranking for 2016.
The weekly State Poll is released each Tuesday until the completion of the MPSSAA regular season. The final poll will be released the Tuesday following the MPSSAA state title games.
